Returning kits is at the heart of how Mirnest works — and you're also fully protected by your statutory rights as a UK consumer. This page covers both.
1.The £5 return credit
Mirnest is built to be circular. When your baby outgrows a kit, you can send it back to us — we clean, check and renew it, and pass it on to another family. As a thank you, you receive £5 off your next kit each time you return one.
- Returning a kit is completely optional. You're welcome to keep any kit for as long as you like, or indefinitely.
- We provide a prepaid returns label — emailed to you or available in your online account — so returning a kit costs you nothing.
- Once we receive your returned kit and confirm it's complete and in good condition, your £5 credit is applied to your next kit.
- There's no fixed deadline to return a kit — send it back whenever you're ready for the next stage.
How it works
What we ask when you return a kit
To qualify for the £5 credit, please return the kit with all items included and in good condition. We expect and welcome normal signs of play — scuffs, marks and gentle wear are completely fine. The credit applies as long as the kit is complete and items aren't broken beyond ordinary use. If a kit comes back significantly incomplete or damaged beyond normal play, we may be unable to apply the credit, and we'll always let you know if that's the case.
The £5 credit is part of how the circular model works — it is not a refund. Your separate legal rights to a refund (below) are unaffected, and always apply on top of this.
2.Your 14-day right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your first order and return it for a full refund within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason.
- To cancel, just email support@mirnest.com within 14 days of delivery, telling us you'd like to cancel.
- You then have a further 14 days to return the kit to us.
- We'll refund the price you paid for the kit, including the standard delivery you were charged, within 14 days of receiving the returned kit (or proof you've sent it).
- We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value if items have been handled more than necessary to check them — but normal inspection is always fine.
3.Faulty, damaged or misdescribed items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the toys we send must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If something arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described:
- Tell us within 30 days and you're entitled to reject it for a full refund; or
- We'll happily repair or replace any affected item at no cost to you.
This is in addition to — and never replaces — your other rights. Just email support@mirnest.com and we'll sort it out quickly, without fuss.
4.Pausing, skipping and cancelling
There's no minimum term and no cancellation fee. From your online account you can:
- Skip an upcoming kit if you're not ready for the next stage yet;
- Pause your subscription and restart whenever suits you; or
- Cancel entirely, at any time.
If you cancel, you simply won't be sent or charged for any further kits. Any kit already dispatched will still be delivered, and you can keep it or return it for your £5 credit as normal. If you'd prefer, you can also contact us at support@mirnest.com and we'll help.
5.How refunds are made
Where a refund is due, we make it to the original payment method you used, within 14 days. We don't charge any fee for processing refunds. Because Mirnest is not currently VAT-registered, no VAT is involved in any refund.
